Sheet Metal Division manufactures of Sheet Metal Parts and assemblies. SMD plants are located at:

1 – Main Plant (SMD) Estd. in 1980 at Honda – Sattari – Goa.

2 – Bhuimpal Pressing Unit (BPU) Estd. in 1997 at Bhuimpal – Sattari – Goa.

3 – Jejuri Pressing Unit (JPU) Estd. in 1998 at Jejuri (Pune Dist) -Maharashtra.

4 – Bhosari Assembly Unit Estd. in 2006 at Bhosari (Pune Dist) -Maharashtra.

In 1988, ACGL identified Bus Body Building as an activity with considerable export potential. The Bus Body project was set up in technical collaboration with Fuji Heavy Industries, then the No.1 bus and coach builders in Japan and known world over for their SUBARU cars.

The project is located adjacent to the company’s Main plant at Honda. The project commenced commercial production in September 1989. ---
